THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN 0.4x AND 0.23 VERSIONS OF BABY GENDER CALCULATOR PROGRAM

In 0.4x (0.42, 0.42s, 0.43) version of Baby Gender Calculator Program, some of the suggestions given by previous operational version 0.23 users are applied. Author would like to express his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the development of this program and widening its possibilities with their useful suggestions.

Along with the changes in design and interface for data entry, that can be seen right away, the following essential changes have been made as well:

TXT and RTF (Rich Text Format) instead of HTML: In 0.23 version all the reports and other program texts are made in HTML. Even though HTML gives significant esthetic possibilities, it is unfit for later use and processing. In 0.4x version, the report is made in more practical TXT format, and other program texts are made in RTF format.

Various reports: In 0.23 version, only one type of report was made, separate lists of Male and Female periods of conceiving for particular parents' couple. 0.4x version gives you the possibility to make three kinds of reports: All Periods (list of all periods of conceiving ordered by the dates during common fertile period for parents' couple), Female periods (list of separated periods with increased possibility of conceiving a girl), and Male periods (list of separated periods with increased possibility of conceiving a boy).

Entry of parents' names: In 0.4x version, it is possible to enter name of the parent (one or both) for whom the report is made, this possibility did not exist in the previous version of the program.

Parents' program database making: In 0.4x version, there is the new possibility of creating and refreshing the parents' database that can later on be used in remaking the reports and in correction of entrees.

Program recalculating of premature or delayed birth of the parents: In version 0.23 the user was supposed to determine expected date of birth for the parent for whom the report is made (in case of his premature or delayed birth), and instead of that, in 0.4x version it is calculated automatically by program.

Printer configuring: The conception applied in 0.23 version, in which the reports were printed automatically on the printer and in the mode that is predefined by Windows OS, in several cases was shown as impractical. Therefore in 0.4x version, more complicated, but definitely more flexible method was applied. This method enables separate defining of print parameters (printer, number of copies, etc.) before every printing.
